The Serbian government passes new decree on direct payments to the private sector to mitigate the economic consequences of the Covid pandemic.
At the session held on February 11, the Government of Serbia adopted the Decree on determining the Program of direct benefits from the budget of the Republic of Serbia to economic entities in the private sector in order to mitigate the economic consequences caused by the epidemic of Covid-19.
Business entities in the private sector will be entitled to the payment of direct benefits from the budget in the amount of 50% of the minimum net salary (15,450.12) per employee. Benefits will be paid in three months, in April, May and June 2021.
The received direct benefits can be used exclusively for the payment of salaries and compensation of salaries to employees no later than July 30, 2021. The publication of the Regulation in the “Official Gazette of RS” is expected on February 12, 2021. year, and will enter into force the following day.
