Job Program “My First Salary” to be Launched in November

At the session of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, a decree was adopted which will allow employers to apply for the “My first salary” program from Monday, August 17. Through this program, which begins in November, the salaries of newly employed young people will be partially financed by the state.

The state is setting aside two billion dinars for this program which will grant 10,000 young people a chance for their first employment.

Who can apply:

The “My First Salary” program is intended for those who have finished high school or college, have no work experience, and are looking for their first job. Through this program, the state will cover a part of the costs of their salary, while the rest of the money for the salary of such employed young people will be provided by employers. For those with a high school diploma, the state will subsidise 20,000 dinars, and for those with a university degree, 24,000 dinars, for a period of nine months. According to the announcement, this will be valid for the first trial period, that is for the first year of their employment. During the program, companies will report their needs for workers.

How you can apply:

Candidates who want to apply for an internship will be able to apply from 1 to 15 October through the application created by the Office for IT and eGovernment in cooperation with PKS, NES, with the support of the Ministry of Finance and the Government. Employers who have announced job positions will be connected with selected candidates in November.
